I was elected to the Colorado State Senate in 2004.  I represent Senate District 17, which encompasses Longmont, Erie, Lafayette and Louisville.  Serving in the legislature has been the most gratifying and humbling experience of my life.

During the past 4 years, I have focused on education, health care and economic development for our state.  We have accomplished a great deal, but we still have much to do.  I am running as a Democrat for re-election so I can continue to focus on these areas, and I look forward to working with you as we make progress on these and other issues critical to the future of our state.
